China began to carry out standardized training of primary and secondary school principals in large scale since 1990 s. With the national attention and support towards the training of primary and secondary school principals, training in Hebei province has made some achievements and the training system has also been improved. However, there are still some problems. To further promote education innovation, deepen basic education reform and implement comprehensive education comprehensively, trainers and practitioners need to keep trying and provide improvement measures for reference and improve the training mechanism so as to enhance the effectiveness of the training of primary and secondary school principals in Hebei province.The main content of research includes some problems on principals of primary and secondary schools in Hebei Province through questionnaire survey and interviews. It is found that the training of primary and secondary schools principals in Hebei province is facing the problems of simple goal, monotonous method, insufficient training funds and the training effect evaluation system is not perfect.Under the guidance of the theory of primary and secondary schools training, the paper elaborates the main reason of the current situation is that the training idea is updated slowly, the management system of training is not perfect and the training mechanism is weak relatively. Furthermore, the author puts forward the corresponding solution measures. the first one is that we should update the training ideas from these three aspects: principal training is the basic construction of the training concept; improve the comprehensive quality of the principals; self training and self improvement of principals. Also, the paper says that a more perfect safeguard mechanism should be established from three aspects: increase the training funds, establish the investigation system before training, and improve the evaluation system. Meanwhile, we need to adjust the training system of school principals so as to make the training standards more standardized, the training convergence more continuous and the training structure more systematic.This paper enriches the theory evidence of the training of primary and secondary schools principals and puts forward the improvement measures for it. It has a promotion effect on the sustained and healthy development of the training of primary and secondary schools principals, education reform and essential-qualities-oriented education.
