In 2000,the mobile Internet began to develop under the eyes of people.In2010,the concept of mobile Internet,which has developed for nearly 10 years,has moved towards the lives of the most ordinary people.In recent years,peopl e have witnessed the ultra-high-speed development of mobile terminal technology and network broadband technology,and have created new demands for accessin g content and information on the Internet anytime and anywhere.Therefore,the mobile Internet is rapidly developing under the urgent needs of people.Nowaday s,4G network has become an indispensable technology for every citizen in Chin a to use mobile phones to access the Internet.According to reports,this year,5G technology is about to come out,people will usher in a new era.In such an environment,new media will become more common with the development of m obile Internet technology.As a new product of the mobile Internet,short video i s not limited by space,content and time.It is short,precise and intuitive,and c an be viewed,shared and uploaded anytime,anywhere.Therefore,in the develop ment process,the short video is easy to use,and the way to obtain information is convenient and fast,which has been warmly welcomed by young people,espe cially the general concern of college students.Due to its young,cultural,free ti me and Internet access,college students will naturally become important audienc es for new media,new technologies and new products.Therefore,it is very nec essary to study the behavior of college students using short videos with systemat ic and scientific rigorous methods.It has very important practical significance for college students and short videos themselves.The theory of “use and satisfaction” is an important theory in the develop ment of communication studies based on the behavior of audiences.It believes that when the media is in contact with the media,they choose according to som e of their inner needs and then choose the mediums they choose to contact.The interaction is met.This study will use the relevant viewpoints of "use and satis faction" theory to analyze the psychological mechanism of college students' audie nce when using short videos.Short videos satisfy the psychological needs of coll ege students.Based on the literature of previous scholars,this paper will use 500 research methods to conduct research on 500 college students in Chongqing us ing empirical research methods and questionnaires.The survey involved the basic situation,use categories,usage experience,frequency of use,satisfaction level,s haring behavior,and motivation of use of short videos by college students in Ch ongqing.Then based on the obtained data,the theory of "use and satisfaction" is used to deeply analyze the psychological reasons of college students' use of sho rt videos.Finally,based on the conclusions obtained,the opinions and suggestion s on the development direction and development strategy of future short videos a re put forward.
