Extracurricular music activities are an important part of music education in primary and secondary schools.At the same time,instrumental music teaching,as an important part of music teaching,has been paid more and more attention,and the teaching form of instrumental music into the classroom has been widely popularized in primary and secondary schools.However,how to make good use of extracurricular music activities to carry out instrumental music teaching,and how to understand the significance and purpose of this kind of instrumental music teaching,is still in the preliminary stage of practice and exploration,and has not formed a mature teaching system.This paper focuses on Chinese ensemble,a relatively large-scale,wide-impact extracurricular music activity.The purpose of this paper is to excavate the significance of this instrumental music teaching form,summarize excellent experience,find shortcomings,analyze the reasons,and put forward solutions.I was hoping that the Chinese ensemble can be carried out more widely and effectively in primary and secondary schools.This paper consists of three parts.The first part explains the origin and relevant theoretical basis of folk band training in primary and secondary schools.In the second part,I carried out the field investigation of two representative primary and secondary schools' Chinese ensemble in Guangdong Province and summarized their development status.The third part is a summary of the value of primary and secondary schools' Chinese ensemble,and on the basis of the analysis of the results,the improvement strategies.The main research methods adopted in this paper are literature method,questionnaire method,interview method,observation method and comparison method.It is hoped that the my research can provide some theoretical and practical inspiration for music education researchers,managers of primary and secondary school and music educator,so that the Chinese ensemble can receive more attention,promoting the faster development of music education reform in China.
