Learners generally play the role of knowledge recipients in games.But with the passage of time,it is easy to get bored and reduce interest in learning.This phenomenon has become an important problem in game-based learning.In order to break this deadlock,the researchers try to change the role orientation of learners and game agents in the game world by combining teaching practice.From learner's "learning" to learner's "teaching",the game agent is responsible for receiving learner's knowledge and becomes teachable agent,so as to enhance learner's interest and promote learner's positive learning behavior.For that reason,this study uses the methodology of literature analysis and the evaluation method as well as game development tools,under the guidance of Learning by Teaching theory and Reinforcement Learning theory,to design and develop a teachable agent game oriented to chemical experiment operation.This study mainly carries out the following three aspects of work:(1)Fundamental research.Based on the analysis of a large number of literatures,this study expounds in detail the connotation of the teaching agent,the Learning by Teaching theory and Reinforcement Learning theory,determines the learning technology of the teaching agent,and defines the development strategy of teachable agent game.(2)Build design models forTeachable agent game.Based on the analysis of constructivist instructional design model and the perspective of problem solving,the instructional design model of teachable agent game is constructed.Referring to the existing related systems,game elements and model design,combined with the operational mechanism of teachable agent,the functional structure model of teachable agent game is constructed.(3)The development and the implementation of teachable agent game.On the basis of teaching design model and functional structure model,this study chooses junior middle school chemistry experiment operation knowledge,takes reinforcement learning algorithm as technical support,develops teaching agent game instance with the help of C#language under Unity platform,and verifies the effect.The analysis of a series of related literatures effectively promotes the gradual development of research work,and achieves the following three research results:(1)Define,discuss and detailed illustrate the connotation of teachable agent and the related theory of game design and development.The key points of game instance development are clarified,and theoretical support is provided for the follow-up development of teachable agent games.(2)The study constructs desisn model for teachable agent games.Using existing successful cases for reference,the idea of teachable agent is integrated into the design of game links,emphasizing the learner's principal position and the learning mechanism of teachable agent,and constructing the teaching design model and functional structure model of teachable agent game.(3)This research designs and develops a knowledge-learning teachable agent game for junior middle school chemical experiment operation.Based on the three experimental operations in the junior middle school chemistry textbook of Lu Educational Press,the Intelligent Learning Behavior of teachable agent in teaching interaction is realized by using reinforcement learning algorithm,and the environment of learning by teaching is presented.And use background data analysis and questionnaire survey to verify the effect of the game.Due to the limited time and ability of the researcher,while the game can realize the basic functions of teachable agent and provide experience of learning by teaching.There are still many problems and shortcomings.Future research will focus on the integration of teachable agent with other disciplines and enrichment of the teachable agent environment.
