Education is one of the most concerned issues in China,especially higher education is particularly important for the development of China’s education.With the increasing number of graduate students in China,the quality of graduate education has become more and more prominent.How to improve the quality of graduate education has been widely concerned.For graduate students,thesis quality is one of the very important measurement standards.The current situation and characteristics of the quality of graduate degree thesis,the existing problems and how to take measures to improve the quality of thesis are the research hotspots of today’s graduate education.Thesis topic selection is an important part of master’s dissertation and the key point of the dissertation.To a certain extent,it affects the quality of master’s dissertation.Therefore,the research on topic selection of master’s dissertation has become an important research point in the development of graduate education.The research object of this paper is 138master’s degree theses of Curriculum and Teaching Methodology of ShenyangNormal University,which have been answered and uploaded to China HowNet,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and College Library from 2001 to 2018.This study uses four research methods:literature analysis,interviews,content analysis and data statistics to make a comprehensive analysis of the research fields,research levels,research objects,research directions,research methods,research hotspots and so on.Based on the conclusion of data analysis,this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the topic selection of master’s degree thesis of Curriculum and Teaching Methodology in Shenyang Normal University,and finds that the advantages of the topic selection of master’s degree thesis of this specialty are comprehensive research object,paying attention to practical investigation and diversification of research methods,the existence of deficiencies are the low degree of subject fit,the lack of response to the hot issues of education and research,the appropriateness of the method is low.Finally,according to the merits and demerits of the topic selection and the influencing factors of the topic selection,some suggestions are put forward to improve the quality of the topic selection for master’s degree thesis of curriculum and Pedagogy in terms of policy,practice and tutors,namely,to respond to policy and lead the frontier;to broaden the field and innovate thinking;to pay attention to practical investigation,to link with practical needs;to change the way of guidance and to enhance communication and discussion.It is hoped that it can provide theoretical guidance for the selection of postgraduate dissertations,help them to be scientific,innovative andvalue-oriented,and also provide inspiration for the management of dissertations and postgraduate training of degree points.To a certain extent,it is conducive to the improvement of the quality of dissertations and the effective development of curriculum and teaching theory specialty. |
