Along with the curriculum reform movement promoted by countries around the world,core literacy as the leading indicator of education reform stands at the center of education reform in various countries.As a basic element of core literacy,space sence has been confirmed by Chinese scholars through empirical research.Therefore,cultivating the spatial sence of primary school students is in line with the requirements of mathematics core literacy,and helps students to adapt to the development of social ability and sustainable lifelong comprehensive development.And the space sence is also an important part of the spatial ability of children in primary school.Paying attention to the development of students' spatial concept in education and teaching is an explicit requirement of the primary school mathematics curriculum standards.Primary school mathematics curriculum standards also put forward the development of students' space sence requirements.Space sence is not only the basic connotation of core accomplishment,but also the basic concept of mathematics curriculum standard,which shows that it plays an important role in primary mathematics education.In addition,the cultivation of spatial sence is also conducive to the development of students' creativity,the exercise of students' representation thinking,but also conducive to the improvement of students' problem-solving ability.Many researchers have also found that the primary school stage is a critical period for the formation and development of children's spatial sence.Children at this stage need to perceive,recognize,and reason graphics through observation,operation,and experimentation.Geometry is intuitive,operative,and flexible.Therefore,It is valuable to use geometric figures as an ideal material for developing spatial sence to study the improvement of the sence of space for fifth-grade primary school students.This study mainly uses the method of educational experiment and questionnaire to understand and analyze the status quo of spatial sence level of fifth grade students in F primary school in Shapingba district of Chongqing by using the questionnaire of spatial sence level of fifth grade students.Then according to the status quo of the students' spatial sence level,the promotion plan is designed for each dimension of the fifth-grade students' space sence development,and the fifth-grade students of this school are selected as experimental subjects.The results show:1.The current status of spatial sence level of fifth-grade pupils in F primary school in Chongqing has the following characteristics:The fifth-grade pupils in F primary school have a medium level of spatial sence.The spatial sence level of girls is significantly lower than that of boys.The spatial sence level of students living in democratic family atmosphere was significantly higher than that of students living in non-democratic family atmosphere.The spatial sence level of students who think they have a lighter learning burden and think they have a moderate level of learning burden are significantly higher than that of students who think they have a heavy learning burden.There was a significant positive correlation between the spatial sence level of the fifth grade students and the final exam scores of the last semester.2.According to the description of the spatial sence of the curriculum standard,four training programs are determined,and the training program is implemented by means of visual observation,operational experience,brain imagination,language description,generalization and other methods.After nine weeks of training,the questionnaire was taken according to the spatial sence level questionnaire,and the results showed:The spatial sence training program has certain effects on the improvement of the spatial sence level of the fifth grade students in F primary school,and is helpful to improve the students' ability to transform two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphics,their judgment of graphic motion changes,and their ability to describe graphics with language.
