Practical Research On Improving The Occupational Adaptability Of Elderly Carers-

It is one of the main tasks to promote the development of old-age undertakings and the construction of old-age care system to promote the quality and efficiency of old-age care institutions in the 13th five-year plan period.Elderly carers are the main force in the provision of old-age care services in old-age institutions.They are directly related to the quality of old-age care services and have an important impact on promoting quality and efficiency in old-age care institutions.However,the lack of occupational adaptability of the elderly carers are in different aspects of physiology,psychology,interpersonal skills,and environment often brings about low work enthusiasm,poor service quality,and low work efficiency,affecting institutional old-age services and restricting the development of old-age care institutions.This article takes the B apartment for the elderly in Kunming City,Yunnan Province as an example to explore the strategy of social work service to improve the occupational adaptability of the elderly carers.First of all,by participating in the observation,in-depth interviews and questionnaire survey techniques,the author understands the current situation of occupational adaptation of elderly carers,and analyzes the difficulties of occupational adaptation of elderly carers from three dimensions:occupational psychology,occupational interpersonal,and occupational skills.It also explores the factors affecting the difficulty of the occupational adaptation of the elderly carers.Secondly,based on the previous investigation and analysis of the occupational adaptation of elderly carers,two elderly carers with poor occupational adaptation and strong service needs were selected as case work clients to provide differentiated case services.To improve the occupational maladjustment of the two elderly carers.Thirdly,based on the practice process,the author compares and analyzes the guidance theory and practical methods of the two elderly carers,reflects on the practical process,draw conclusions from the research,and puts forward the thinking on enhancing the occupational adaptability of the elderly carers based on the practical experience of social work.In order to promote the physical and mental health and occupational development of the elderly carers and improve the quality of institutional old-age care service,the author provides the response strategies of social work.
