In order to understand the reading comprehension of children after the picture book teaching activities,and analyze factors that affecting children's reading comprehension,then provide targeted advice for teachers to implement teaching remediation and add teaching activities.This study takes kindergarten children(ages5-6 years old)as the research object,and interviews children with the picture book Piggy book.We conducted one-by-one interviews with kindergarten children by 10 questions(including explicit information and implicit information),and scored based on the answer of kindergarten children.We found that kindergarten children have a good understanding of the seven aspects of the picture book,including characters,problem,outcome resolution,feelings,causal inferences,dialogues,and themes.However,kindergarten children have poor understanding of three aspects of the picture book,including initiating event,setting,and prediction.In general,children's understanding of the explicit information is better than the implicit information of the picture book.Further analysis found that kindergarten children can intuitively understand the explicit information of the picture book through the picture presented by the picture book,but it is influenced by the child's observation ability,life experience and language expression ability.In addition,children's logical ability,empathy,predictive reasoning ability,and ability to grasp the plot before and after the story will affect the children's understanding of the implicit information of the picture book.
