Reading attainments are the abilities to comprehend and use effective written language,while Chinese reading ability is an important guarantee of primary school students' Chinese attainments.The language that acts as communicative tool develops constantly and vocabulary expands gradually,demanding higher of language learners.The education administration has put forward clear and specific requirements for the cultivation of independent reading ability in primary school,and much more attention is placed on students' reading interest.Recently,some issues have turned up in primary school reading teaching,especially the obvious gradation and even polarization among students.Besides,there are long-term problems in the cultivation of primary school students' Chinese reading ability,such as low interest,unformed habits,improper methods,poor reading ability and insufficient quantity.This requires teachers to constantly improve the teaching quality,actively explore the factors influencing the reading effect of students at all levels,meanwhile exploring a reasonable path to motivate and enhance students' initiatives at best.Based on humanism and constructivism theories,from the perspectives of students' overall reading level,reading knowledge,reading ability,reading attitude,this study takes 113 upper-class students in Changchun XXX Primary School as research samples,adopt literature method,questionnaire survey and interview method,analyzes their current Chinese reading attainments,then concludes factors influencing their reading attainments.In the end,some feasible paths are given to better primary school upper-class students' reading attainments.
