In the process of national efforts to deepen educational reform and comprehensively promote quality education,many primary schools have popularized music education,which is dedicated to cultivating students’ good aesthetic taste and humanistic quality.In primary school music education,singing teaching is not only the most easily loved,accepted and understood by students as an art form,but also an important means to implement music education goals,Whether singing can be taught scientifically and effectively depends on the change,reform and innovation of teachers’ teaching ideas,modes and methods.Cooperative learning is a creative and effective teaching theory and method widely used in many countries,which is regarded as the most successful teaching reform in recent decades.The decision of the state council on the reform and development of basic education clearly states that primary education "encourages cooperative learning,promotes cooperation and exchanges among students,common development,benefits teaching as well as learning." Cooperative learning is one of the important learning methods advocated by the new curriculum reform.However,cooperative learning is rarely used in singing teaching in primary schools.In the five primary schools investigated in this research,singing teaching in primary schools has various problems,i.e.backward teaching concept,lack of variety in teaching methods and passive learning mode.Therefore,it is urgent to explore and establish a scientific,effective and mature cooperative learning model in singing teaching in primary schools.This study elaborates through three parts,using methodologies like literature review,investigation,observation and case analysis.Firstly,it sorts out the relevant content of singing teaching in primary school,and reinforces the important position of music singing teaching in primary school music education.Through the analysis of the status quo of singing teaching in primary schools and the field investigation and research of singing teaching in primary schools,the author finds out the difficulties in singing teaching in primary schools and has a clear understanding of the status quo of singing teaching in primary schools.Secondly,by expounding the basic characteristics of cooperative learning and the characteristics of singing learning in primary schools,the necessity and feasibility of applying cooperative learning mode in music singing teaching in primary schools are systematically discussed.Finally,through the description of the operability of cooperative learning in singing teaching in primary school and the design of cases,it is proved that cooperative learning is an effective teaching mode to improve singing teaching in primary schools.It is an important teaching method to realize teaching objectives,improve teaching means,guarantee teaching quality and enhance teaching effect.It is an important teaching method to cultivate pupils’ core quality,improve their comprehensive ability,enhance their aesthetic taste and promote their healthy growth.
