This paper mainly discusses the changes of social relations in the development of tourism economy and the formation of social relations as social capital.Nakeli,a minority village in Pu'er,Yunnan,is selected as the field point. As a roadside village where the transportation is convenient,it is an important location on the famous"Tea and Horse Road".So different roads also have a great impact on the economic forms of Nakeli.Nakeli became known to outsiders as the"tea-horse station"in 2008 · Tourism economy as a relatively new economic form, not only increases the income of villagers, but also has a great impact on the social relations in the region.Through field investigation and data analysis, the author finds that the development of tourism economy has brought new problems to the traditional social relations of Nakeli(mainly including family relations, neighborhood relations and loan relations, etc.),new contents have appeared in family relations, and neighborhood relations are becoming less developed and developing towards a more rational direction. These changes in social relations are mainly caused by the changes in the relationship between people and land in Nakeli village after the tourism development, the changes in the way of livelihood of villagers and the facilitation of travel modes. In addition, tourism economy and local policies have reorganized the distribution of local wealth and resources, and the influx of tourists and investors has further complicated local social relations.Faced with the changes in social relations,Nakeli villagers did not passively accept, but actively adopted various strategies such as making friends with tourists to expand customer base, using political capital to obtain economic resources, and attracting investors to form new social relations and so on to cope with this new economic situation and obtain economic benefits from it.Therefore, tourism economy and social relations are a two-way interactive relationship.Tourism economy will change and influence traditional social relations, but people will also develop tourism economy by restructuring social relations and forming new social capital.
