Under the background of the fourth industrial revolution,due to the influence of economic globalization,the information technology revolution,industrial upgrading and consumer demand have forced the emergence of “new format”.Talent supply has emerged in emerging economic fields such as big data,Internet of Things,cloud computing and artificial intelligence.The lack of phenomenon has exposed the shortcomings of the disconnection between China engineering education and the development of new format.At the time of China higher engineering education to adapt to the social development and exploration of transformation,"new engineering disciplines" came into being,through the adjustment of discipline construction ideas to explore the path of engineering education reform.Therefore,starting from the new format in the new economic field,it is of practical significance to study the core issue of engineering discipline upgrading involved in the new engineering disciplines construction.Based the Outcome-Based Education,the Competency-Based Education concept and the Haken Synergy Theory.This paper adopts the literature research method,the comparative research method,the questionnaire survey method and the case study method to investigate the basic situation of engineering major construction under the background of new business in China,and analyzes the problems and causes of its objectives.It analyzes the cases of engineering reform and upgrading in foreign universities,summarizes its successful experience and draws lessons from China simultaneously.Based on the above research,focusing on the main ways of the construction of new engineering disciplines,we propose suggestions for the upgrading path of new industrial engineering disciplines,including planning the action route for the construction of new engineering disciplines,establishing a new engineering professional curriculum system,innovative teaching methods and Means,etc.At the same time,establishing a new construction engineering support system,including the government-led cooperation platform for schools and enterprises,the faculty of new engineering disciplines and the student evaluation system for new engineering disciplines to promote the deep integration of knowledge,ability and quality requirements of emerging industries and engineering disciplines.
