In recent years,with the great interest of the Chinese language fever in the word,the number of children also showed a growth trend.Chinese characters learning become an integral part of Chinese learning for those children.However,as an important part of Chinese learning,Chinese characters itself has been a vexing issue for foreiners and teachers,meanwhile,foreign children,with their special psychological,cognitive and emotional nature,are the special group in Chinese teaching.Teaching Chinese characters to children,the contents and methods need to be different from adults.Therefore,by combining my teaching experience in one French international bilingual school with practical methods,the theory of children in second language acquisition,the feature of French children and Chinese program,I will put forward some new ways by design and operating reading class,characters class and character activities.This article is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction which presents origin,purpose and significance of the research,it mainly explains the reason and purpose of the article,as well as the problems that need solving.Here in this part,I also give a summary of present researches in Chinese character teaching,as well as my research contents and research methods in this article.The second part is the analysis of research subjects,in this part,I stated the universality and uniqueness of France and the international school where I taught Chinese,studying of research subjects is to better design and operate teaching methods,teaching should be targeted.In third part,I summarized the problems French children have when learning Chinese characters,also the problems Chinese teachers have when teaching Chinese and gave an evaluation of Chinese textbooks we use in Ecole Jeannine Manuel,I analyzed the reasons of the problems.In the fourth part,according to the problems I mentioned in the third part,I gave the design,operation and evaluation of my Chinese character teaching class,hoping to explore a route for teaching chinese characters in France andoverseas children.The fifth part stated my suggestion of how to write a Chinese character textbook for French and overseas children,making my own contribution to overseas children chinese character learning.The sixth part is the summary of the article on its achievements and deficiencies in order to put forward some suggestions for teaching people who are in the foreign culture circle.
