Research On The Engineering Doctoral Training Mechanism Based On Research Projects In H University

The combination of scientific research and teaching is a basic feature of modern higher education,and it is also an important content of doctoral education.At present,participating in scientific research projects is an important way of scientific research training for engineering doctoral students in China.However,in the process of participating in scientific research projects,engineering doctoral students often appear the phenomenon of alienation of the relationship between teaching and scientific research.Therefore,this study focuses on the process of scientific research of engineering doctoral students,trying to articulate the relationship between scientific research function and educational function.In order to solve this problem,this study based on the research path of rooted theory in qualitative research,and taking H university as a researching field which is good at engineering and doctoral education,and has a pretty good education system.By means of random sampling and snowballing,this study conducted in-depth interviews with 20 engineering Ph.D.students and 8 supervisors from H University and obtained abundant research data.According to the different sources of funding for scientific research projects,this study is concerned with the participation of engineering doctoral students in longitudinal scientific research projects funded by relevant state departments,and the horizontal scientific research projects funded by enterprise units.And various funding sources of exploratory projects are described in detail.Based on this,this study further summarizes and refines the training mechanism of engineering doctoral students based on scientific research projects.Engineering Ph.D.,supervisor,laboratory,schools / colleges and other social factors are the six elements of the basic framework of the mechanism,which are connected and interacted with each other,and together constitute the basic framework of the basic scientific research project of engineering doctoral training mechanism.The realistic needs of national and social development,the university idea of combining teaching with scientific research,and the pragmatic teaching theory provide the power source for the operation of the mechanism.The operating process of engineering doctoral training mechanism based on scientific research project includes exploratory participation mechanism,master learning mechanism and team cooperation mechanism.In the process of operation,the mechanism has the characteristics of open system.It maintains close contact and high interaction with scientific research system and talent training system in colleges and universities.In the training mechanism of engineering doctoral students based on scientific research projects,the internal elements adjust each other to realize the adaptive function,the goal realization function,the integration function and the latency function of the mechanism system.And then maintain the mechanism of teaching and research integration of the functional objectives of the realization.However,the conflict between teaching and research functions will also be shown in the specific operation process.The functional conflict is mainly caused by the problems in the mechanism operation process,which manifested in the multiple demands in the choice of research direction,the distance between individual and team,and the change of the relationship between teachers and students.The main factors cause the functional conflict are: the structural defects of the training mechanism of engineering doctoral students based on scientific research projects,the institutional guidance bias,the environmental factors based on the laboratory,and the individual factors in the communication between teachers and students.In view of this,this research proposed the corresponding countermeasure and suggestion.
