As a part of teaching material resources,the quality of teachers guide will exert a profound influence on teaching.The content of teachers guide reflects the development and renewal of education at that time.The object of this paper is defined as the teachers guide of Grade 1-3 of the Chinese language in Singapore primary school: the Chinese Language of Primary School in 2007 and the Happy Partner in 2015.By comparing the curriculum standards,overall structure and teaching methods of two sets of teachers guide,this paper finds out the characteristics of the Happy Partner teachers guide,and providing suggestions for the writing principles of overseas teaching Chinese.Through the comparison of the two curriculum standards,the Happy Partner learning Joyously and Using Proficiently to learn Chinese,learning Chinese within using technology,evaluating Chinese within evaluation system.These three all reflect the teaching trend under the change of curriculum concept.In structure comparison,we focus on the teaching objectives,teaching methods and the supply of Chinese culture,summarying that Happy Partner pay attention to listening and speaking teaching,using situational teaching method and focus on supplying of Chinese culture.In teaching steps comparison,The teachers guide of Happy Partner have the advantages of stability,differential teaching.The teaching methods can effectively reflect the new teaching idea since curriculum standard compared.We make a conclusion to the teachers guide’s characteristic of Happy Partner as follows: the teaching of each board follows the general teaching process called Guiding-Learning-Practicing-Using-Evaluating;the teaching mode of the diverting of speaking and writing;the extensive use of multimedia information technology;using rich and diverse game activities.In the end,based on the above comparison,we conclude the principles that should be followed in the compilation of overseas Chinese teaching books: Practice,Difference,Integrity,Authenticity and Interests.
