| Peer relationship is an important part of college students’ study and life.The communication and interaction between college students and their peers can not only promote their own development,but also hinder their development.Therefore,this study aims to investigate the effects of peer relationships of college students on academic achievement to understand the current situation of peer relationships and academic performance,and analyze whether students peer relationship can affect students’ academic achievement,students’ peer relationship quality on the academic performance of college students can play a predictive role,or to what extent we can predict the academic performance.This paper first defines the related concepts of peer relationship and academic achievement through the summary of related literature,and puts forward the related theoretical basis,and what aspects of the current research are mainly focused on.Then combined with the results of empirical research,this paper analyzes the actual situation of peer relationship,peer characteristics and academic performance of college students studying in Xinjiang.And we do the difference analysis,the correlation analysis and the regression analysis to these situations.Finally,it summarizes the peer relationship and academic achievement of college students,and puts forward some suggestions.Through the study,the following conclusions are shown:1.The peer relationship of college students is in the middle level.Male friendship,peer acceptance and self description level than girls;liberal arts students than science students with high degree of peer rejection at the same time,the self described liberal arts students than science students is low,but the degree of friendship between students is higher than science;Junior of peer acceptance than sophomore and senior high;the attitude is better than that of rural students in City College Students’ peer acceptance;only child college students peer acceptance are obviously higher than the non only child college students;student cadres peer acceptance and self description of positive than never served as student cadres of college.The family background will not affect the peer interaction of college students.2.The difference of College Students’ academic achievement is obvious.Girls score significantly better than boys;academic achievement of science students was significantly better than the liberal arts college students;test scores and scores of college students in different grades were significantly different,Junior scores significantly higher than sophomore and senior,senior ability scores were significantly higher than sophomore,Junior;city college students ability scores are significantly higher than students from rural areas;significantly better than the test scores of only children and non only child;served as student cadres of college students test scores and ability scores were significantly better than those not served as student cadres of College students.The differences in academic achievement of college students with different family backgrounds are not significant.3.There are some differences between the demographic variables and their peerrelationships,academic achievement,peer relationship and self description dimensions and academic achievement and ability scores are positively correlated;peer relationship in self describing dimensions and friendship between dimensions of the test scores and scores had significant effects.The different attributes of different demographic variables play a certain predictive role in the impact of peer relationship on academic performance.4.Peer structure of college students is similar,specific performance in today’s College Students’ peer sources mostly from the same professional same grade bedroom,have the same learning experience,students’ peer sex also is gay;after the interview survey found that college students peer relationship harmony,has a certain impact on their students’ academic emotions learning motivation,learning attitude,etc. |
