Research On The Effectiveness Of The First Ideological And Political Theory Course

Attaching great importance to publicity and ideological work and giving full play to the powerful role of publicity and ideological work are our Party’s historical traditions and political advantages.Since the 18 th National Congress,the Central Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has examined the new changes of the world scientifically and put forward new requirements for improving the publicity and ideological work in the new situation.University leading cadres take the first ideological and political theory course(referred to as "the first Lesson")giving full play to the leading role of leading cadres in preaching the basic theories,basic lines,basic experience,and major policies of the Party."The first lesson" could enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education work in universities.At present,"the first Lesson" has taken root in universities and has become the new norm of publicity and ideological work in universities."The first Lesson" also play a major role in leading teachers and students build a Chinese dream together and improving ideological and political work in universities.Therefore,paying close attention to the effectiveness of "the first Lesson" and giving full play to the lesson’s ideological leading role have become major problems that we must pay attention to.The study is based on Marxist theory of comprehensive human development,socialist consciousness indoctrination theory,effective teaching theory,principal’s curriculum leadership theory,Hofflandian’s persuasive model and authoritarian theory,etc.This paper comprehensively uses literature research methods and survey methods.The research takes meaning of the effectiveness of "the first Lesson" as the starting point and analyzes the actual appeals and the characteristics of "the first Lesson" work.Then,the paper analyzes the historical development and value of "the first Lesson",the achievements and difficulties of "the first Lesson" work.On this basis,the article proposes three strategies to improve the effectiveness of "the first lesson".In terms of implementation principles,"the first lesson" work should adhere to the principle of combining authority and science,adhere to the principle of combining macroscopic and microscopic properties,and adhere to the principle of the combination and demonstration.In terms of concrete measures,this paper proposes four measures.The first one is to clarify the requirements of the tasks and highlight the initiative.The second one is to pay attention to overall planning and highlight the normative.The third one is to insist on demandoriented and highlight accuracy.The last one is to insist on value-oriented and highlight humanity.In terms of the protection mechanism,we must strengthen information feedback mechanism,the synergistic education mechanism and the assessment mechanism.Improving the effectiveness of "the first lesson" could enhance the quality and efficiency of the ideological and political theory courses and build ideological and political work structure in which people are educated in an all-round way.
