In recent years,mathematicians have conducted more and more profound researches on core mathematics literacy.Mathematical modeling,as one of the important composition is attracting more and more attention,and there is higher and higher requirements for mathematical modeling especially among students and teachers at high school.Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(Experiment)issued by the Ministry of Education in 2003 put mathematics study,mathematical modeling and mathematical culture in a separate section,and introduced the expression,requirements and suggestions of mathematical modeling in the part of mathematical modeling.As for the requirements of mathematical modeling by Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(Experiment),“at least one mathematical modeling activity should be arranged for high school students”.Different regions execute it at different degrees.This paper mainly investigates the popularization and teaching degree of mathematical modeling at GZSDFZ in Guiyang,Guizhou province by scientifically dividing students’ mathematical modeling ideas.The main contents are divided into the following parts:Part one combines thoughts,thinks about the meaning and process of the research,and makes plans.Part two defines relevant concepts through literature analysis method,studies relevant literature at home and abroad,and constructs theoretical framework.In Part three,the questionnaire,test questions and interview outline of mathematical modeling are prepared based on the previous research results.The reliability and rationality of the questionnaire are verified through validity test.The mathematical modeling level of high school students at GZSDFZ is tested and divided through the three methods.The final results show that the students have lower level as a whole,but the individual class has outstanding level.As for their mathematical modeling level,there is no obvious difference in terms of gender and source of students,but there is considerable difference between different classes.The fourth part reviews the research work,and summarizes the full text.Besides,some suggestions are put forward for the school,parents,teachers and students so as to train students’ mathematical modeling ideas.
