In September 2004,our country carried out the new curriculum reform of the general high school in some experimentation area.The primary high school biology course was divided into two types:compulsory course and elective course for the first time.In September2009,the new curriculum reform was officially launched in Wulanchabu,which has been lasted for nearly 10 years.In the 10 years,some problems were appeared.Through questionnaires and interviews,this paper investigates the actual situation of various high schools in Wulanchabu on the course of biological elective.The scores of two selected modules in Wulanchabu area were statistically analyzed,and the difference of score rates between two modules was compared.It can be used as a reference for students to improve their scores in the college entrance examination.The following questions are discussed in this study.(1)Wulanchabu teachers' views on elective courses.(2)The present situation of elective courses in Wulanchabu.(3)An analysis about students' learning achievement in the selection of different elective modules.(4)Further explore the influence of elective courses on students' abilities in all aspects.The survey found that there are many factors which restrict the implementation of elective courses,and the evaluation system has not fundamentally changed.Second,the choice of elective modules mostly reflects the tendency of examination.Third,the teaching characteristics of elective courses are not very clear,and the real goals of elective courses can not be fully reflected.Many schools choose to learn a specific module according to what they exam.Schools meet the needs of students,parents and society in the training of basic knowledge andbasic skills.In other aspects,such as interest,sentiment,moral character and personality,there is no sufficient space for students to develop.Schools should have a clear understanding of curriculum reform.According to our school's resources,teachers' ability and students' basic foundation,we should set up elective courses reasonably and establish perfect elective courses mechanism,so that students can get the main body status,practice the concept of new curriculum,and promote the development of educational reform.The following conclusions are drawn up:(1)Most teachers and students think that the elective courses of the ordinary high school are in the form of form.(2)The baton of the college entrance examination seriously restricts the selection of elective courses in schools.(3)The schools set up elective modules one and three for the college entrance examination,and no school sets up an elective module two.(4)An elective module one has a relatively high score rate between one and three.(5)Elective courses do not give students a substantial change.Based on the above problems,the author's suggestions are: to strengthen the construction of the hardware of the school,to carry out the training and learning activities of the teachers,and to increase the publicity and guidance of the elective courses.
