After the American psychologist Sternberg has proposed the psychological self-control theory,researchers both domestic and overseas have done a lot of study about the thinking style.Educators obtain a great deal of inspiration from the classification of thinking style in their education activities.Math learning strategy refers to the process of mathematical learning,the individual uses the appropriate solution method to complete the mathematical tasks,is an effective control on math learning.This paper is aimed at studying the relationship between various thinking styles ? strategy of mathematics learning and the academic result.This research is based on the data of questionnaire survey from 128 senior high school student.Through the data analysis,we learned about the mathematics learning strategy of high school student ? characteristics of their thinking style development,and then studied the relationship between the two and academic result.According to the analysis of study result,exploring how to carry out effective thinking style teaching to improve students' learning strategy and academic achievement.On the basis of questionnaire and case study,we can reach the following conclusions:(1)All the mathematics learning strategies have positive correlation with the academic result.(2)Law enforcement type,judicial and legislative type thinking style can has positive correlation with the academic result indirectly through acting on the mathematics learning strategy,or they can forecast the academic result directly.The overall thinking style has positive correlation with the academic result indirectly through acting on the mathematics learning strategy.(3)Intervention from the matching education of educationmethod and thinking style is effective.This kind of intervention improves the thinking style,at the same time,the level of mathematics learning strategy has significant promotion,the academic result has obvious advance.This research found that a part of thinking styles have effects on mathematic academic result directly or indirectly in different degrees.So teachers should learn about the characteristics of students with different thinking styles and use flexible education methods to make them benefit from these methods.Besides,teachers should pay more attention on developing the thinking style which is beneficial to academic result of the students.And then teachers can reach the education target which emphasizes both on knowledge and development.
