Background: the research on mate selection began in the early 20 th century.In the mid-20 th century,research turned to factors that influenced mate selection.In recent years,as the field of mate selection gradually points to more realistic research,mate selection as a premarital factor that affects the quality and satisfaction of marriage has received widespread attention.Objective: the inconsistency of mate selection preference refers to the difference between the preferences of individuals before and after marriage.This study aims to explore the relationship between the inconsistency and the marital quality of primary and secondary school teachers.Methods: in this study,primary and secondary school teachers were selected as subjects in no.1 middle school.In the second study,married primary and secondary school teachers were selected as subjects.Buss preference questionnaire and Locke-Wallace marital adjustment scale were used to measure the preference and marital quality of the subjects.In this study,primary and secondary school teachers were selected as subjects,family role division experiment and preference questionnaire survey.Results: female primary and secondary school teachers attach more importance to the physical characteristics,socioeconomic status and the character and willingness to invest for their offspring than males.Married primary and secondary school teachers attach more importance to the physical characteristics,social and economic status of their spouses,as well as the character and willingness to invest for their offspring than unmarried teachers do.There are significant differences in sexual preference of married primary and secondary school teachers before and after marriage.Teachers in middle and primary schools attach great importance to the quality of marriage due to differences in their preferences for partners after marriage.The lower the differences,the higher the quality of marriage.family roles under experimental manipulation,the subjects of mating preferences good resource dimensions exist significant difference,the secondary stakeholder value most social and economic status,family caregivers,work hit the least value.Conclusion: there is a significant difference in the preference of spouse among primary and middle school teachers with different marital status.There is a significant difference in the preferences of married primary and secondary school teachers before and after marriage.The greater the differences,the lower the quality of marriage,the smaller the differences,and the higher the quality of marriage.Under the family role manipulation,primary and secondary school teachers showed significant differences in mate selection preference.
