College students are in a critical period of psychological development,stimulated by learning,living,employment,love and a series of negative life events,it is easy to produce the psychological imbalance and the increase of depression.While many studies have shown that the influence of life events on depression is influenced by heredity,coping styles and social support factors.Therefore,this study investigates TPH-2 gene polymorphism,life events and coping styles affect college students' depression.This research adopts the cross sectional study design,study the relationship of college students' life events and depression,discuss the effect of TPH-2 gene polymorphism and coping styles to college students' life events and depression.This study adopts questionnaire,531 college students as subjects,collect college students' life events,coping styles and depression related data and collect the TPH-2 genotyping data of university students,proved the interaction of the TPH-2 rs17110747 gene polymorphism and life events can significantly predict college students' depression;the interaction of the positive coping style and life events can significantly predict college students' depression.Research conclusions are as follows:1)This study found that college students' depression detection rate was 25%,and college students study in school is the main experience of life events stress and the relationship.2)Depression group of college students' negative coping style and life events scores and learning pressure,punishment,loss,health and other six factors scores were significantly higher than the non-depression groups of college students;depression group of college students' positive coping styles score was significantly lower than the non-depression group of college students' scores,but depression and non-depression college student in TPH-2 gene rs41317118,rs17110747,rs4570625 and rs7305115 polymorphism distribution of genotypes and alleles were indifference.3)College students TPH-2 gene rs41317118,rs17110747,rs4570625 and rs7305115 polymorphisms genotypes and alleles,depression,neuroticism,life events and coping styles in gender,professional,and grade level,and homeplace,and only one-child and non-only child variables was most not significant,only a few significant.4)In addition to the correlation of the positive coping style and the loss factor of life events was not significant,depression,coping styles and life events and its factors were significant correlation in pairs,TPH-2 gene rs41317118,rs17110747,rs4570625 and rs7305115 polymorphism were significant correlation in pairs,in addition to life events,punishment factor and loss factor with TPH-2 gene rs17110747 polymorphism were significant correlation in pairs,other factors and TPH-2 gene rs41317118,rs17110747,rs4570625 and rs7305115 polymorphism were not significant correlation in pairs.5)TPH-2 gene rs17110747 polymorphism,coping style and life events and all the factors of life events on college students' depression has a direct prediction effect.6)The interaction of TPH-2 gene rs17110747 polymorphism and life events can significantly predict college students' depression;the interaction of the positive coping style and life events can significantly predict college students' depression.
