As an important part of the road freight transportation system, truck drivers have a large scale and a wide range of influence.Their professional capabilities directly determine the quality of transport services. However, from the perspective of their professional development status, there are still some outstanding problems such as poor working environment, low overall quality, mismatched social status and social contributions, and repeated violations of illegal business practices. From the current point of view, the professional qualities of truck drivers still cannot fully meet the demand brought about by the upgrading of transport service, their professionalizaiton level needs to be improved. At present,a series of measures have been taken to improve truck drivers' professional qualities and professional capabilities, but overall there has been little success. This has a direct bearing on the scientific determination of the professionalization level of truck drivers and the accurate analysis of the influcing factors of professionalization. In view of this, based on the questionnaire survey, this article measures truck drivers' professionalism level, analyzes the influencing factors of their professionalization, and put forward some professionalization promotion stratigies.First, uses the competency model to construct a professional level measurement system for truck drivers. With the help of survey data,a truck driver's professional level measurement structure model was constructed based on exploratory factor analysis. Then using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model to empirically test the measurement structure model and calculate the current professional level of truck drivers. The measurement results show that the overall degree of professionalization of truck drivers in China is relatively low;from the perspectives of professional knowledge and skills, professional behavioral qualities, professional attitudes, and occupational security, the professional development of each dimension is not balanced and each dimension's professionalization level are quite different. Then, through literature research, this paper proposes research hypotheses based on the analysis of influencing factors from indicidual, industrial and institutional aspects. Then uses survey data and ordered multi-category Logistic regression model to analyze the in-flucing factors of professionanlization level. The results show that education level, professional identity, income, skill contest participation, skill training, distribution time, and social security participation have a significant influence on professionalization level;there was a significant negative correlation between the distribution time and the professional level, and there was a significant positive correlation between the other factors. Finally, according to the truck drivers' professionalization level and the influencing factors, proposed promotion strategies including establish industry qualification rating system, improve vocational education and training system, standardized freight market, strength occupational security and improve drivers' social status.
