Prose teaching is an important part of Chinese teaching in primary school.Its refined language,profound thoughts and rich emotions are of great importance to students' attainments.While the current prose teaching still needs improving.Based on the analysis of the stated requirements for prose teaching in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education and the characteristics of prose arrangements in the teaching material,this paper intends to uncover the current problems of prose teaching and to release corresponding strategies for prose teaching by studying the actual situation of middle and higher grades in primary school and analyzing the research data of three representative primary schools in Hangzhou.The first chapter of the paper analyses the stated requirements for prose teaching in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education and the characteristics of prose arrangements in the teaching material.This part analyzes the teaching target?the teaching proposal and the teaching evaluation of the Chinese Curriculum Standards.It also analyzes the prose arrangements in teaching materials for middle and high grades in primary school.The second chapter investigates the current problems of prose teaching for middle and higher grades of primary education by analyzing the research data of three representative primary schools in Hangzhou and discusses the main issues of prose teaching respectively from three aspects: before class,in class and after class.Before class,the preview problems lie in the programmed content design and lack of feedback in preview.In class,the teaching problems include inadequate reading,lack of text appreciation guidance,lack of life experience,single form of teaching and low participation.After class,there is a problem of students' lack of interest in the extracurricular reading.The third chapter proposes corresponding strategies for prose teaching by analyzing cases and the stated requirements for prose teaching in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education.Before class,preview strategies include the design of the prose preview and the feedback of the prose preview.In class,prose teaching strategies include using reading to stimulate students' emotions;guiding students to rational appreciation;guiding students to experience the role and situation;learning prose by group discussion and inquiry learning;learning prose by combining reading and writing;analyzing and comparing different texts.After class,the strategy of prose learning includes creating prose learning atmosphere,using prose learning books,enriching prose reading activities.By advising relevant strategies,this paper aims at offering some references for teachers of primary school prose teaching.
