As a new generation of new media era,the secondary vocational students who were born after 2000 have become the main driving group and audience group for social media information sharing. They are in the early stage of youth, and are in the most rapid and critical stage of physical and mental development. However, they are also a group that is not recognized by others. They are considered as people with poor academic performance and poor prospects. Therefore, investigating and researching the behavior of social media information sharing among secondary vocational students, understanding their social media preferences, and analyzing their social media sharing characteristics will help to propose targeted improvement measures and help them form good habits and establish a correct social outlook, and this has become an important issue in the current secondary vocational education.Based on the 5W communication theory, this study combines with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and technology acceptance model, and considers the characteristics of secondary vocational students, then builds the research model for information sharing behavior of secondary vocational students in social media environment.According to the research model and previous related research results, the research hypothesis was put forward.Through the questionnaire survey,730 valid sample were collected, and then the theoretical model was verified by the structural equation model. The research results show that information quality, psychological motivation, interpersonal relationships and sharing feedback are all significantly positive influence on the secondary vocational students’ willingness to share information, and then influence their sharing behavior. The media channels also influence the willingness of secondary vocational students to share, but the impact is not significant, and the sharing behavior of secondary student is regulated by their habits.
