| Sequence of number is obligatory course in senior high school.It is basic mathematical model that both reflects laws of nature and contains a lot of important mathematic ideas.Students have run into following problems concerning sequence of number.They are confused with so many formulas.They have difficulty in multiple-choice questions in the presence of numerous types.They don’t know where to start due to its wide range categories.Teachers often suppose that sequence of number is easy,so their teaching procedure is brief and rough.The students therefore are lack of a detailed learning procedure.They are not clear enough about both “declarative knowledge” and “procedural knowledge”.It is quite necessary to explore effective teaching method and the optimized teaching design about sequence of number.This article applied references,survey and interview,education experiment and empirical summary.It aimed to solve four issues:1.Excavate the guiding significance of ACT-R theory upon teaching about sequence of number.It summarized seven principles and modified traditional teaching model.2.According to the analysis upon teaching materials,curriculum standard and learning status,it gave suggestions to the teaching design concerning the unit of sequence of number based on ACT-R theory.3.In order to verify the effectiveness of this teaching design,the author selected two classes of equivalent levels for experiment.Experiment class applied teaching design based on ACT-R theory while antithetic class applied traditional teaching method.4.At last,the experiment effectiveness has been measured from the following four aspects:(1)Whether students get higher score in sequence of number;(2)Whether students have improved their non-cognitive factors;(3)Interviewed three frontline teachers with different levels of working experience;(4)Recorded 3 typical cases and analyzed the actual classThe result of research includes the following three aspects:1.Seven principles have been concluded based on ACT-R theory,i.e.visualization principle,sequence principle,simplification principle,initiative principle,reflection principle,matching principle,moderation.They consolidated traditional teaching model.2.It proposed teaching strategy concerning sequence of number based on ACT-R theory and gave suggestions to unit teaching design.3.From analysis upon experiment data,we can draw the following conclusion:(1)Teaching design of sequence of number based on ACT-R theory can help students to get higher score(2)It can improve students’ non-cognitive factors(3)It has improved and consolidated the above seven principles.In intuitive principle,the introduction of new teaching content should be moderate.In sequence principle,the application of exploration-styled teaching will be beneficial for students to master procedural knowledge.In simplification principle,the relationship between partial and general teaching content should be balanced.In initiative principle,student’s subjective status should be protected.We should prevent them from being over-active.In the reflection principle,we should encourage students.Through this article we wish the frontline teachers can cast spotlight on cognitive laws of students.We provide the reference for both teaching design and effective teaching about sequence of number. |
