The new primary school science curriculum standards established that the overall goal of the primary school science curriculum in China is to strengthen and enhance students' scientific literacy.How to integrate the concept advocated by the new curriculum standard into the practical scientific teaching practice and evaluate the students through appropriate evaluation tools so as to effectively improve the students' scientific literacy.This is the first decade in which Chinese first-line teachers have established science courses,and they has been struggling to study and explore the key content.The issue focused on this topic is to design and preliminary explore the performance evaluation tools for primary school STEM courses in the current environment of integration of science courses and the US STEM philosophy.Taking the excellent solar water heater project based on the STEM concept jointly developed by the team during the internship of Beijing National Day School as an example,the author puts forward design methods and suggestions for evaluation tools for science courses.Through the study of "Primary Science Curriculum Standards",the three curriculum objectives of knowledge and skills,processes and methods,emotional attitudes and values are used as the three important dimensions of evaluation tools,combined with project-based learning,inquiry learning and cooperative learning.The comprehensive arrangement of literature and teaching practice experience,the specific content of the performance evaluation scale was determined,and different star ratings were set for different evaluation indicators,and a set of evaluation tools for students' scientific literacy training was constructed.The dissertation consists of six parts.The first part is the introduction,expounding the research background,research purpose and significance,research content and research methods.The second part is the related theoretical review of the performance evaluation tools for primary school STEM courses,including the definition of core concepts such as the concept definition of STEM curriculum,performance evaluation and project-based learning,as well as the performance evaluation of domestic and foreign research status and other related research,etc.The third part tentatively explores the design principles,methods and steps of conventional performance evaluation tools,and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of performance evaluation tools.The fourth part is a brief introduction to the author's "Solar Water Heater" STEM course at the Beijing Eleventh School,including the course objectives and main contents.The fifth part is the specific design of the performance evaluation tool for primary school STEM courses,including preliminary design,refinement,revision,results and recommendations.Finally,I made a concise summary of the process,results,and innovations of this study.
