Australia is a multicultural country with British and indigenous peoples as the main ethnic group. In order to better carry out social integration and enhance the overall economic strength of the country,Australia regards vocational education and training as the main means of developing indigenous people and narrowing the gap between indigenous and non-indigenous people, but due to the differences and opposites of different cultures,In the process of receiving vocational education and training, the indigenous have some problems, such as high loss and dropout rate, difficulty in obtaining employment and low participation rate of indigenous people in remote areas. The integration of indigenous people into mainstream culture is difficult,Australia has made a series of experiences in terms of policy and implementation in response to the disadvantage of indigenous people.Try and work hard, but indigenous still face more problems in vocational education and training than non-natives.In this paper,we find that there are two factors that influence the emergence of "three low problems" among indigenous people: social environment and individual environment. From the macro social environment: cultural concept and values,Historical colonialism and economic level are the main factors that influence indigenous people’s participation in and completion of vocational education and training. The level of indigenous education is the key to determining the outcome of indigenous training and the availability of employment. This research is divided into five chapters: the first chapter introduces why indigenous people should receive vocational education and training, and discusses the necessity of indigenous people receiving vocational education and training from two aspects of external environment and internal drive; The second chapter explains the present situation and existing problems of the indigenous people receiving vocational education and training. The author discusses the participation, completion and employment of indigenous people in vocational education and training. The main problems of indigenous vocational education and training at present are low completion and employment rate, low participation rate in remote areas. The fourth chapter makes a profound analysis of the main factors that affect the results of indigenous vocational education and training from the perspective of social environment and individual environment. The fifth chapter is about the achievements of indigenous people in vocational education and training, the unsolved problems and the enlightenment to vocational education of ethnic minorities in nationalities in China. |
