With the development of art education,the introduction of local cultural resources into high school's art appreciation education which has received more and more attention from educators.Ningxia,Located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,Ningxia is home to the capital of Xixia Kingdom and is also the largest Hui community in China.The long history and distinctive national characteristics built unique and rich cultural resources.Introducing Ningxia cultural resources into local high school art appreciation education can not only make up for the insufficient investment in education resources due to economic development factors,but also has positive significance to inheritance and propagate local excellent traditional culture.This article is based on theories,including effective teaching theory,the constructivism theory and the relationship between local cultural resources and the high school art appreciation education.After summarize the characteristics of Ningxia's cultural resources,this paper specifically analyses the strategies who introduce cultural resources into high school's art appreciation education.Combining with the local teaching materials,a mosque was taken as an example to carry out the design of architectural appreciation courses.Yinchuan the ninth Middle School was selected to conduct the teaching practice,achieved good results.Finally,this article rethinks the high school's art appreciation education in Ningxia in three fields:using of local cultural resources,establishment of diversified teaching ideas and orientation of art appreciation course,which is aimed at provide ideas and methods for the development of art education in Ningxia.
