Research On Pre-service Excellent Teacher Education In The United States

Every country in the world today places a high priority on improving teachers' quality.This study takes the pre-employment teacher education program in the United States as the starting point and using the literature method,comparison method,and case study method,selects two very successful and long-standing cases,namely,the Stanford University STEP project and Alverno College's pre-professional teacher education program,through further analysis of its project philosophy,enrollment selection,curriculum,implementation effectiveness and other aspects to further study its successful experience.In order to adapt to the outstanding orientation of the international teacher education reform,China also issued the "Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Implementing the Outstanding Teacher Training Program"on December 5,2014,and identified 80 outstanding teacher training programs as required.The reform of the teacher education model at all stages involves the training of outstanding teachers of all levels,including excellent kindergarten teacher training,elementary schools to middle schools,secondary vocational schools,and special education.Our country is currently in the stage of exploration and implementation of the project of training excellent teachers.It is very necessary to look at the global model of excellence in teacher training in the United States,the United Kingdom,and other countries in order to promote the improvement of our outstanding teacher training program.Therefore,the United States,a country with a strong education,has been selected for comparative studies,to study its outstanding teacher education policy and training model,to learn its advanced experience,to effectively improve the level of teacher education in China,and to run high-quality education.
