Abstract/Summary:
The school sports in China is the product of modern "western learning",drawing on the advanced experience of foreign countries,which has been running through the development of China’s primary and middle school sports for more than 100 years.Along with the gradual deepening of curriculum reform,international communication has become increasingly active in the field of education,and American sports international leading position for a long time,The United States has become one of the most selected countries in the international comparative study of physical education in primary and secondary schools in China.The diversification of curriculum,teaching concept,teaching method and evaluation system was introduced into our country,and to a certain extent,promote the development of Physical Education curriculum in our country,such as the SPEM(Science,Physical Education and Me).So far,the SPEM program has not only produced a significant impact in the United States,praised by many PE teachers and primary school students.It has also produced some international influence and has been introduced by South Korea,India and Arab countries.But there are relatively few studies on the subject in China.Therefore,the purpose of this study is that through the analysis of the concept and main characteristics of SPEM,combined with the actual teaching situation in our country and carry out teaching experiment,to verify the SPEM course teaching effect in our country.In this paper,the literature and materials related to SPEM course are analyzed by using the literature method,and the relevant materials of SPEM course materials,student journal and evaluation tools are also translated.Based on this,the main characteristics of SPEM curriculum are summarized.Secondly,using the questionnaire,teaching experiment and classroom observation and other methods,combined with the requirements of Shanghai physical education and fitness curriculum standards,The two classes of grade three of The Affiliated Primary School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology were selected as the experimental class and the control class,there are 34 student in the experimental class and 35 student in the control class.The experimental class uses SPEM curriculum,and is taught by me.The comparison class uses traditional PE course teaching,which is taught by a new teacher,and the experiment period is three months.After three months of teaching experiment,compared with experimental class and control class effect,the conclusions and suggestions are following:The SPEM curriculum can significantly improve the students’ learning effect of physical education.Whether compared to the horizontal group of the control group or the longitudinal comparison before and after the experiment,the students in the experimental class were significantly better at the knowledge acquisition and growth rate than the control class;SPEM course helps to improve the students’ situational interest in physical education,especially for students’ challenges,exploration intention and novelty has a significant effect,but no significant in attention demand and instant enjoyment;SPEM course can significantly improve the students’ expectancy-value.Whether for the improvement of students’ expectancy belief,or the value of students attainment,intrinsic and utility,it all has a significant impact.;The overall physical activity level and exercise intensity of SPEM course were slightly lower than traditional physical education in Shanghai,but there was no significant difference.Suggestions : Pay attention to the teaching of sports health knowledge,and strengthen the study and application of sports and health knowledge;Integrate teaching content to promote the coordinated development of sports health knowledge and basic athletic ability;Optimize teaching methods,implement inquiry-based teaching in physical education courses,and pay attention to students’ independent learning;Expand knowledge and optimize course design.
