As one of the important subjects in science,high school biology has experienced the development process from phenomenon to essence.Senior biology requires students to understand the scientific methods that biologists have in the process of biology and to explore the scientific method of solving problems in the process.In the2017 edition of the Biology Curriculum Standard for Ordinary High Schools regards scientific thinking as one of the four key competencies of biology,containing induction and generalization,deduction and reasoning,model and construction,critical thinking and creative thinking.Paul,as the best thinker,not only agree with the value of critical thinking,but also think of it as the core purpose of thinking.Based on this,this study was about to consider "developing students' critical thinking in high school biology teaching" as a core problem.It investigated the current situation of critical thinking ability of senior grade students in Guangzhou by questionnaire survey,it shows that:(1)As a whole,about90 % of students were less critical thinking,about 50 % of them lack critical thinking.Seven dimension scored from high to low in turn: maturity,truth-seeking,open-mindedness,systematicity,analyticity,inquisitiveness and self-confidence.(2)The difference of critical thinking between boys and girls was not significant.It used a semi-structured interview to interview 20 teachers in Guangzhou about the critical thinking of students in high school biology teaching,it turned out that more than 50% teachers believed that it was necessary to develop students' critical thinking in biology class,due to the high school biology teachers were not enough attention to the development of students' critical thinking,thus no corresponding teaching measures in the teaching.In this study,it put forward the teaching strategies of each dimension about critical thinking,students of the first grade were selected as experimental subjects and the teaching experiment was conducted for 3 months in high school biology class.The research of teaching practice showed that the critical thinking ability of high school students has improved significantly,in which that difference in analyticity andself-confidence was significantly great,and there was a significant difference in the dimension of inquisitiveness;at the same time,due to the lack of synchronization between the learning atmosphere of each class and the students' physical and mental development characteristics,the differences in other dimensions were not consistent,but in general,it's obviously improved;the self-confidence increases significantly,but it was still at a weak level,it meant that the development of critical thinking was not achieved overnight,needed constant insist for a long time.In conclusion,the cultivation of students' critical thinking in high school biology teaching required teachers to train in a methodical manner,and consistently and purposefully in the way of critical thinking in teaching,to achieve the obvious effect.
