In the background of the balanced development of education,educational equity is becoming more and more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.The backwardness of the development of rural education is an important factor affecting the balanced development of education.The country has also adopted a series of policies to reform rural schools,so the reform of weak schools in rural areas is imperative,which will help promote the balanced development of education.The weak rural schools are faced with many problems,which have greatly influenced the development of the balanced education,and which not only restricts the balanced development of education,but also affects the development of education to a balanced development.In this paper,three rural schools in Henan province are used as the research object to understand the implementation of the "thinning" policy.Through interviews with school principals,teachers and "thinning" staff,as well as field visits in schools,we first make a textual analysis of the rural school thinning policy from the perspective of politics,combing the changes and theoretical basis of rural schools' thinning policy.Secondly,based on a comprehensive understanding of the development of three specific rural weak schools,the implementation and effect of thinning policy are analyzed.It is found that the problem of the development of three rural schools is the simplification of the goal setting in the process of policy implementation,and the lack of local conditions,etc.The reasons for the analysis of the problems are the lack of the core of the school's soft power and the incompatibility of the thinning plan with the actual situation.Finally,in order to promote the healthy,orderly and smooth development of rural schools,the following countermeasures and suggestions are put forward: we should strengthen the implementation effect of the policy and deal with the value orientation of the thinning policy;scientific planning and thinning,mobilizing social forces and improving the enthusiasm of rural schools to be thinner and thinner is very important;learning from the successful school experience,we can achieve the goal of improving the conditions and quality of education in rural areas,and promote the education in rural areas.
