Early childhood education teachers' contributes to the foundation of students'success and school development to a greater extent in Liberia as in other countries.It seems important to find a way to value the profession by keeping them satisfied.Researching factors that are affecting early childhood education teachers' job satisfaction can be very useful for school administrators and stakeholders.The intellectual literature on early childhood education teachers' job satisfaction is however scarce,suggesting that inquiry into factors that relate to early childhood education teachers' job satisfaction is lacking in Liberia.The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of early childhood education teachers' job satisfaction in Montserrado County,Liberia.Specifically,it was meant to:determine Liberian ECE teachers' overall level of job satisfaction;investigate the extent to which teachers' job satisfaction relates to the supervision,opportunity for promotion,colleagues,work environment,salary and bonus;determine the most important factors contributing to ECE teachers' job satisfaction;identify factors impeding ECE teachers'job satisfaction to teach,and generate policy suggestions for the enhancement of teachers' satisfaction at ECD level in Montserrado County,Liberia.The research design used in this study was quantitative design.One hundred sixteen(116)sixteen participants from twenty one(21)public and private schools in Montserrado County,Liberia participated in the survey,out of which one hundred(100)constituting eighty six present(86%)of the total were qualified for the analysis.The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire,Job Satisfaction Survey and the Job Descriptive Index were the combined tools used for the measurement of early childhood teachers' job satisfaction.The analyses of the data were done through SPSS 23.0 version.Correlation analysis,Pearson regression,independent sample t-test,and frequency analysis were the statistical analyses applied in this research to arrive at the various results.Result from the reliability test in this study shows Cronbach's coefficient alpha is(0.84)which is grater then(0.7),making the variables excellent for this study.The results from the analysis showed that ECE teachers' are moderately satisfied with the alpha of(0.81)as it relates to their overall job satisfaction.The results of the study also showed positive significant relationships between ECE teachers' Job satisfaction,on one hand,and Supervision,Opportunity for promotion,Colleagues,Work environment,Salary and bonus,on the other hand.Regarding the most important determinant contributing to early childhood teachers' job satisfaction,salary and bonus and opportunity for promotion were found to be the most important contributing factors.Similarly,several factors were found to be impeding ECE teachers' job satisfaction.They include lack of benefits,limited teaching materials,poor learning environment,improper supervision and absence of leave.In a nutshell,this research recommends that the government should address the issues of salary adequately through indicating the value of their work,and increase quality work force to ensure quality output.Early childhood teachers ought to become more involve professionally;they must be informed that appropriate programming is essential for the quality of their field,and they need to avoid getting discourage on their job.Parent should be educated on the importance of facilitating their children at home;they should be involve with the school to ensure their children are given the necessary and require lessons.
