A Study On The Current Situation Of High School Basketball Teaching In Lu'an,Anhui

As a collective exercise,basketball has a good mass base in China and has been popular among teenagers since it was introduced into the campus.As a weak link in school education,physical education has been attached to new significance in the wave of new curriculum standard reform.Since the new curriculum standard was implemented,basketball courses has been carried out as elective courses in high school.Accordingly,the teaching concepts,teaching contents and teaching forms of basketball courses have been greatly changed.This dissertation randomly selected teachers and students in 12 senior high schools out of 52 in Lu'an,including Lu'an No.1 Middle School,Lu'an No.2 Middle School,Xin'an Middle School,Chengnan Middle School,Huoshan Middle School,Shucheng Middle School,Qian Renqiao Middle School,Shucheng No.1 Middle School,Jinzhai No.1 Middle School,Qingshan Middle School,Huoqiu No.1 Middle School and No.2 middle school.Taking the new curriculum standard as the premise,the author explored the current situation of high school basketball teaching in Lu'an by collecting data through literature,interviews and questionnaires followed by analyzing them through mathematical statistics and logical analysis.After studying the basic information of teachers,students,basketball facilities,basketball teaching and extracurricular basketball teaching in those schools,The following conclusions are drawn:1.The factors affecting basketball teaching in Lu'an high schools mainly include the location area,teachers,students,field and equipment,teaching objectives,teaching methods,teaching contents,extracurricular basketball activities and so on.2.In Lu'an high school,the proportion of female and male basketball teachers is not up to the standard and few of them majored in basketball before.The rate of the basketball teachers' academic qualifications is better and young teachers' numbers overwhelm others.Besides,most of them are with medium-grade professional title and lack of research consciousness.3.Teachers seldom apply modem basketball teaching methods in the classroom,neither do they develop or create teaching contents.There is a big gap between the basketball teaching goal and the students' real level,which affects the motivation of the students to participate in the basketball movement.4.Basketball teachers and students are not satisfied with the field and equipment,and the field and equipment are seriously damaged because of untimely maintenance,which may cause safety accidents.Besides,there are few basketball indoor sites and the opening rate is low.5.Basketball teaching evaluation are seldom applied in focusing on students'individuality,guiding students to cooperate in the study and caring for students'emotions.6.At present,there are some changes in basketball teaching curriculum mode in Lu'an high school,and schools are offering basketball elective courses according to the new curriculum standard.But in most schools,teachers still teach in administrative classes.Only a few schools take classes based on interest and gender.Therefore,the meaning cannot be realized wit this kind of traditional basketball teaching concept.7.Extracurricular basketball activities share the same teaching content with classroom content with monotonous form.The campus is surrounded by light basketball culture,and school leaders and basketball teachers do not pay enough attention to it.In view of the problems in the investigation,the following countermeasures are put forward to meet the needs of the reform of basketball teaching,the development of different students' personality,the rational selection of basketball teaching methods,the arrangement of basketball teaching content,the realization of the theoretical value and practical value of basketball teaching.1.The Department of Education should strengthen the supervision and evaluation of basketball teaching in high schools,and organize excellent experienced high school teachers in other provinces and cities to share basketball teaching experience.2.All senior high schools in Lu'an should pay attention to the introduction of basketball professionals,and strive to create post training and re learning ability of in-service basketball teachers.3.High schools in Lu'an should update and maintain basketball teaching equipment in time to meet the needs of teachers and students,improve the management system and develop basketball teaching resources.4.High schools in Lu'an should investigate students' motivation of participating in basketball courses regularly,so as to refine the basketball teaching content,create basketball teaching methods and meet the needs of modem basketball courses.5.High school basketball teachers in Lu'an should pay attention to the teaching evaluation,which should reflect the new curriculum standard,students' individuality and the students' process evaluation.6.High schools in Lu'an should strengthen communication and organize more friendly basketball matches,so as to improve students' interest in basketball.7.High schools in Lu'an should fully integrate into the extracurricular basketball activities and organize colorful extracurricular basketball activities according to local culture and customs to strengthen the campus basketball culture construction.
