The Effect Of Group Cohesion On University Dragon Boat Players Satisfaction:Sports Passion Mediating Effect Test

With the vigorous development of the dragon boat sports in universities,the psychological factor has become a research focus of dragon boat players.In the field of sports practice,it was found that some players lacked of passion in training and competition,and other problems such as burnout and depression.This was due to the fact that the special group of dragon boat players had relatively low perception of satisfaction and lacked motivation for training.To solve this problem,it is imperative to inspire the passion and improve the satisfaction of the players.Studies have shown that group cohesion and sport passion have become important factors with affecting satisfaction.Therefore,this study based on the view of positive psychology and conducts relevant research on college dragon boat players with the theme of group cohesion,passion and satisfaction.Based on the above consideration,this research used Sports Passion Questionnaire,Group Environment Questionnaire,and College Athletes Training Satisfaction Questionnaire as the research tools conducted a survey of 447university dragon boat players to examine the mediating role of sports passion in group cohesion and players'satisfaction.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The Sports Passion Questionnaire includes "harmonious passion" and "obsessive passion"2 subscales,a total of 12 items,the internal consistency a coefficient was 0.86 and 0.89,in line with the requirements of psychometric studies,can be used to study the sports passion.(2)The universities dragon boat players have high level of group cohesion,satisfaction and sports passion.The group cohesion show significant differences in gender and training years.The harmonious passion,compulsive passion and players satisfaction show significant differences in the major,age and training years.(3)Group cohesion significantly positively predicted players satisfaction and harmonious passion,significantly negatively predicted harmonious passion;Harmonious passion significantly positively predicted players satisfaction,obsessive passion significantly negatively predicted players satisfaction.(4)Harmony passion and obsessive passion in the effect of group cohesion on University dragon boat player satisfaction,both play the part of the intermediary role.It shows that group cohesion can not only directly affect the sense of university dragon boat players satisfaction,but also indirectly influence the sense of satisfaction of the players through affecting the passion of sports.
