It has been over 10 years since the international education was firstly carried out in Changsha in 2003.The international education of urban public schools has made certain achievements in many aspects such as the educational teaching management,curriculum,teachers' professional development as well as students' growth.As high-quality curriculum teaching is the lifeblood of a school education,now each international education department has set up its own international curriculum accordingly.With constantly exploration and practice in bilingual teaching,especially in the field of mathematical bilingual teaching,the International Department of Changsha Mingde High School,which was established in the year of 2009,has basically formed its own teaching method with international style and distinctive character.It has studied the bilingual teaching mode of mathematics from many aspects such as the content settings,the implementation of bilingual teaching objectives,the bilingual teaching strategy,its teaching evaluation and so on.In terms of curriculum content setting,it takes the three years'overall teaching content as a whole,and then with the method of“Course Task Allocation Bilingual Teaching”,divide the whole course content,and finally implement the divided content into each semester.In the aspect of bilingual teaching objectives,its main teaching objective is the knowledge of the mathematics subject.The second teaching goal is the English terminologies,which are infiltrated into the teaching process.As for the teaching language,the employ of English is not simply for the implement of bilingual teaching in form,nor its proportion used in each class.Instead,the format and proportion of the teaching language has been decided before the start of each semester,which is regarded as a big unit of the overall education,according to students'basic knowledge about the two subjects:Math and English.With three years teaching practice,the International Department of Mingde High School has gain many experience and benefits in the bilingual teaching of mathematics.For example,bilingual teaching has not only enriched the teaching materials,but improved students' interests in study;the examples and exercises on overseas original textbooks attach more importance to the application of knowledge,which could help students to perceive mathematical problem in real life.Of course,there are some difficulties in the process of carrying out the mathematical bilingual teaching,for example,the professionalism of the bilingual teachers is still needing to be rectified and standardized.Through the case study of the mathematical bilingual teaching of Mingde High School International Department,there are some thoughts and views about how to improve and refine the bilingual teaching of Changsha international education.The author of this thesis is the implementer of mathematical bilingual teaching of Mingde High School.
