With the further development of education opening to the world,the number of bilingual schools in China continues to grow,and the number of foreign teachers in bilingual schools continues to increase.In bilingual schools,there are great differences between foreign teachers and Chinese teachers,students,parents and managers in terms of cultural background.How to manage foreign teachers and their work has become a new issue in Chinese bilingual schools.This study focuses on the teaching management of foreign teachers in bilingual schools.On the basis of clarifying the basic problems of teaching management of foreign teachers,this study takes the teaching management of foreign teachers in the primary school Department of N school in Minhang District,Shanghai as the research object,and tries to systematically describe the current situation of teaching management of foreign teachers in bilingual primary schools,identify This paper analyzes the problems and reasons existing in the teaching management practice of foreign teachers,and probes into the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the teaching management of foreign teachers in bilingual schools.The study found that the case school has initially formed a set of foreign teachers’ teaching management system suitable for the characteristics of bilingual schools in terms of teacher recruitment,induction training,teaching task arrangement,teaching process quality control,home school communication,teaching and research activities,teachers’ professional development,job evaluation and so on.However,in management practice,there are still some problems,such as incomplete management system,imperfect management mechanism and low completion quality of specific management tasks.The reasons are that there are loopholes in the teaching management system of foreign teachers in case schools,the level of management team is not high enough,and the cognitive differences caused by cultural differences affect the quality of specific work.In view of the problems existing in the teaching management of foreign teachers in case schools and their causes,this study proposes to improve the teaching management system and mechanism of foreign teachers in bilingual schools,improve the teaching task design of foreign teachers in bilingual schools,improve the teaching management level and accurate understanding of foreign teachers in bilingual schools Countermeasures and suggestions to effectively solve the specific problems of foreign teachers’ cross-cultural management.
