Social Worker’s Professional Image,Public Attitude And Reshaping Path

In 1988,Peking University established social work and management majors and began professional education in social work.It has been thirty years since then.During this period,our country’s social work has grown rapidly.However,the professionalization time is relatively short,and it is generally considered that 2006 is the beginning of the professionalization of social work in China,and it has been more than 10 years.The state attaches great importance to the development of social work and proposes to build a development target of 1.45 million social work professionals by 2020.The state’s support for social work has accelerated its development process.It can be known from the data released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs that as of the end of 2017,China has established 7,511 private social work agencies,set up 36,485 social work service stations,and developed 312,089 social work jobs..However,the status quo of the development of social work is not so optimistic.Since social work is an exotic product,it has not passed the "baptism of years".After China was introduced into China,there was a situation of "satisfaction with soil and water".Among the general public,the phenomenon of misunderstandings and misunderstandings of social workers is very common,and thus the professional image of social workers has been distorted.Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,the paper seeks to reshape the professional image based on the public’s awareness and recognition of social workers.First,the professional image of social workers is clearly defined.Through reviewing relevant literature,the professional image of social workers has been transformed into four levels.The first is professionalism.Social workers have professional theories and methods and professional values as guidance in the process of service development.Second,occupationalism,social workers and volunteers or volunteers and other helper work are different.Social work is A specialized occupation with professional attributes.Thirdly,authoritativeness.Social workers can establish their own authority in terms of professional knowledge and professional theories.Fourth,they help human nature.The ultimate goal of the service activities carried out by social workers is to help others and help them.It is one of the core elements of social workers.Secondly,through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,the social attitudes of social workers and their influencing factors were presented.After analyzing the results of the questionnaire survey,it was found that public awareness and recognition of social workers in terms of professionalism,professionalism,authority,and helpability were relatively low.The main problems are the lack of understanding of social workers,the identity of misplaced social workers,and the lack of awareness of social workers.The relevance and linear regression analysis of the data through SPSS23.0 found that whether the public understands social workers,whether there are social workers stationed in,whether they have participated in related activities,and whether it is known that social workers are a professional is an important factor affecting public attitudes.After sorting out the interview data obtained,it was found that the public has low understanding of social workers,low recognition,public stereotypes about social workers,and lack of awareness of social workers’ professionalism and occupation,problem.Therefore,in order to achieve a sound development of social work,we must reshape the correct and good professional image of social workers.Again,based on the above analysis,we summarize the advantages and disadvantages of reshaping the professional image of social workers.Its advantages include strong support from the government and the government in providing policies and resources for social work development;professional services provided by social workers have the characteristics of public welfare;China is in a period of social transformation,and it is prone to social conflicts and social work.The existence of a person is conducive to alleviating social conflicts and solving social problems.Insufficiency is mainly due to the lack of improvement in legislation,professional mechanisms,etc.in professional development;due to issues such as role orientation and the effectiveness of problem solving,professional authority is difficult to establish;due to the existence of traditional social support networks in our country,social work is affected.As the development of social work in our country is relatively short,there is a problem of weak public awareness.Finally,according to the above research,we propose ways to reshape the professional image of social workers.This article supports the government’s support in policies and resources,increasing publicity,accelerating the professionalization process,improving the professionalization of social work services,and establishing social workers.Five aspects of professional authority start.
