It is obvious to all that Chinese education as a career has made great progress globally.However,the study of Co-Curricular activities has not been taken seriously as the Co-Curricular activities developing themselves.The content discussed in this thesis is based on previous studies,combining with the practice of my teaching experience in Khaosaming Wittayakom School in Trat,Thailand.It is an investigation and study for this secondary school students about the Co-Curricular activities.It was an anonymous survey which covered 290 students from Grade 3 to Grade 6(same as from Grade 3 of middle school to Grade 3 of high school in China)as valid samples.The results show the different preference among students of different grades.It also provides 3 kinds of the examples including Chinese Language Contests,ASEAN(the Association of Southeast Asian Nations)Exhibition(the area of China)and the Spring Festival themed activities.The study to some extent reflected the present situation of the Co-Curricular activities in secondary schools where Chinese Language is elective course under Non-Target Language Circumstances.The analysis tells the difficulties of the Co-Curricular activities in secondary schools where Chinese Language is elective course from 3 aspects including students,schools and teachers.The writer also tried to provide some methods to solve the problems.This study is a reference for the volunteer teachers who are under preparation of Co-Curricular activities to students in Thailand or overseas.
