HPS education refers to apply the history of Science,philosophy of science and sociology of Science to the science teaching.This is a hot topic in education.The current ideas of science education help students construct scientific knowledge transfer,the nature of science and scientific view,effective way to cultivate students' scientific quality and innovation spirit.This global trend is manifested not only in the contents of international conferences,but also in the literature of scientific educators,as well as in curriculum reform and curriculum standards in various countries.As an important participant in Teachers' curriculum enactment and implementation of the understanding of the concept of HPS is directly related to the progress of curriculum reform,the teachers involved in the process of interpretation of curriculum standards,textbooks,teaching materials and students,including the textbook as the basic teaching media,its importance is self-evident.Based on the concept of HPS education,the study began with the integration of HPS in high school physics textbooks.Combined with the comparative study of Chinese and American textbooks.This study is divided into seven chapters to discuss.The first chapter is the introduction part.It introduces the background,research questions and significance of the research.From the nature of science teaching and curriculum standards,this paper discusses the concept of HPS education,which is recognized by the scientific and educational circles.It also expounds the three perspectives of HPS and the nature of science,its inherent necessity and teaching material research,especially on the importance and primary position of HPS and textbook research and defines the concept of "textbook" in this study.Finally,it puts forward the problems of HPS and physics teaching material's content,arrangement and physics teaching,and illustrates the significance of this research in three aspects: HPS theory and practice,textbook and teacher understanding,and promoting HPS into physics classroom.The second chapter is the review and summary of related researches at home and abroad,including the concept and development of HPS education concept,and the development process of combining HPS with science education and science textbooks.The third chapter has formulated the research tools and evaluation indexes of this study.This research is based on the inherent characteristics of history and philosophy of science,sociology of science,the nature of science cross,starting from the HPS three main categories,the formation of analysis tools consisted of 7 sub-categories and 26 sub-standard,the research tool as a textbook preliminary analysis tool.From the two levels of microcosmic and macroscopic,the paper sets up the evaluation index of this research,aiming at evaluating the completed forms,and making an in-depth comparative analysis of the contents of HPS in two physics textbooks.The fourth chapter is based on the analysis and evaluation of the specific teaching materials based on the HPS perspective,which is the basic basis for the follow-up teaching suggestions and teaching practice.We analyzed content relevance,presentation mode and consistency,analyzed the curriculum standards and content integrity on the macro level,and analyzed and evaluated the way to combine qualitative and quantitative methods,so as to ensure that the research results can be comprehensive and in-depth.The analysis of HPS in Chinese and American textbooks is mainly summarized as the following conclusions:1.In the overall research,two textbooks show a high degree of integrity in the content and presentation of HPS,which is reflected in the complete coverage of the sub standard of teaching tools,but the emphasis is different.2.HPS in the textbook content.First,textbooks are concerned about the accumulation characteristics of scientific knowledge,the overall trend of scientific development;Shandong science and technology emphasizes the scientific development of the history of science,quasi linear breakthrough,reflected in the scientific development of continuous and discontinuous dialectical relationship;two textbooks exist "the Whig history" feature.Second,in the process of the principle and characteristics of "science" physics more average,reflects the diversity of scientific methods of textbook approval;Shandong science and technology focus on empirical and predictability,to a certain extent the implementation of the concept of scientific inquiry.Third,second of the textbooks on the interaction between social and science will be of great concern;in addition,Shandong science and technology relatively more prominent scientists reflected image,relates to science and scientific achievements of Chinese characters is more.3.Presentation materials about HPS mainly for the first,the picture is the most common form of picture presentation,including the scientists,scientific experiments,technology products,thinking demo map,its function has the following three points: to explain the content of text,supplement and development,further interpretation of scientific connotation.Second,as a means of effectively transmitting philosophy of science and sociology of science,scientific story is also a common way of presentation in teaching materials,in which heroic and developmental narration is used most.Third,second the text is different in the text,mainly in the way of expression,introduction and logical sequence.Fourth,there are great differences in the arrangement of mathematical tools in the teaching materials.4.Teaching materials are more directly concerned about the history of Science(H)and sociology of Science(S).Although the development of science history and philosophy of science presents the trend of integration(Philosophy of Science),textbooks are rather obscure in terms of expression of philosophy of science.The fifth chapter in the textbook analysis and interview survey based on the proposed HPS into physics teaching suggestions,mainly from four angles: the history of science as the carrier of HPS teaching,the concept of HPS,in the conventional penetration in the course of carrying out school-based curriculum based on the scientific concept of culture,strengthening teachers' professional training to promote the concept of HPS education.In the light of four suggestions,the corresponding cases are cited respectively,so as to ensure the clarity of the discussion.The teaching case with the history of science is presented in the sixth chapter.The fifth chapter and the sixth chapter mainly carry out the study of HPS and teaching materials in the teaching practice.The seventh chapter is the conclusion and Prospect of this research,which is further thinking and explanation for HPS,philosophy of science and sociology of science,and puts forward deep analysis and problems.
