With the expansion of college enrollment in 1999,the scale of education in China has been expanding, and the gross enrollment rate increased from 9.8% in 1998 to 15.0% in 2002,and entered the stage of popularization. As one of the important provinces on the east coast, the economic development of Shandong province has shown good momentum for many years, and education level has been continuously improved. However, studying in Shandong province, where many top universities but rarely, the expansion of education and quality education resources scarce the contradiction is more and more serious,to some extent this also limits the households of lower socioeconomic status children access to higher education. In addition, higher education tuition fees are also a barrier to higher education for students with lower family income.Based on this, the author makes a study on the impact of family capital on the entrance opportunity of education.Based on the family capital theory of Coleman and Bourdieu, this study classifies the family capital that may affect the opportunities for higher education entrance into three aspects: family economic capital, family cultural capital, and family social capital.Factors were analyzed to determine the impact of family capital on access to higher education, and a measurement scale was prepared.Sample surveys and interviews were conducted on 16 different levels of colleges and universities in Jinan City using questionnaires.Qualitative and quantitative analyses were used.Combining the methods of combining literature, field research materials, and using descriptive statistical methods and structural equation models to analyze the impact of family capital on higher education enrollment opportunities. After analyzing the data and materials obtained,it was found that:(1)There is a positive correlation between the total amount of household capital and higher education enrollment and the types of schools that the school attends, and the proportion of students with higher family capital is higher in colleges and universities. The higher the grade, the better the type of school that is enrolled;(2)Through the structural equations,it is found that the standardized path coefficients of household economic capital, cultural capital, and social capital that affect each other and restrict each other, and that household economic capital, cultural capital, and social capital influence higher education access are 0.534 and 0.561 respectively.0.685,compared with the three family capitals, social capital has the greatest impact on the opportunity of higher education enrollment.Based on the results of the study, the government, schools, and families are required to propose measures to improve the differences in access to higher education for different families of capital-intensive students, and to try to promote the fairness of higher education in Shandong Province.
