In the age of knowledge economy,the society is more and more in need of personnel who have the ability to learn for a whole life,innovative spirit and a good comprehensive quality.As the basic organization for school education,a class is the significant unit for educating,serving for and managing students and its effectiveness will directly influence the growing-up of students and the development of the school.Traditional class management also reveals a lot of shortcomings and to construct classes with advanced theories and to improve the constructional performance of classes are the requirement of the time and also the need of the development of the class.Learning organization is a new management notion proposed and developed in the field of management at the end of the 20 th century.It was first used in enterprise management to better the organizational structure and management efficiency of enterprises and to keep the sustainable development of enterprises.This notion was later adopted in other areas and received a wide recognition.As an organization with learning as its major activity,a class satisfies the conditions for constructing a learning organization.Besides,the theory of learning organization is able to integrate with Chinese traditional culture,and thus it is feasible and possible to construct learning classes.This research attempts to use the Class 1,Senior Grade Two enrolled in September 2014 as the object of the experiment from G Middle School in the city of Zhao Qing,which the writer works as the class advisor,and uses learning organization theory to construct the high school learning class.First,the writer analyzes the present situation of class construction and the possibility of constructing a Learning Class,and proposes the four principles of the construction of learning class: subjectivity,democracy,innovativeness,and openness.What comes next is to conduct the action research of class construction from five dimensions including the construction of the shared vision of the class,the encouragement of self-transcendence,the improvement of mental model,the implementation of group learning and the promotion of systematic thinking,by using the theory of learning organizations.The action research lasts an academic year and is divided into three stages: preparation,practice and consolidation stage.The related data shows that the atmosphere of the experimental class has been improved,the academic atmosphere of the class has been strengthened,the comprehensive quality of students has been improved and the personalities of them have been full played;the feedback from teachers and students also show that the atmosphere at the experimental class has been improved a lot.Therefore,action studies have shown that it is feasible and effective to construct learning classes using learning organization theory,which has a significant meaning for the development of classes and the individual growth of students.
