With the continuous development of information technology,the information requirements of geography education are becoming higher and higher.The traditional demonstration tools represented by PowerPoint(abbreviated as PPT)have brought us a lot of convenience in geography education,but with the deepening of educational reform,they also gradually encounter bottlenecks.This article compares the common presentation tools.The linear structure of traditional PPT can not reflect the geographical integrity,regional,azimuth and other characteristics,but also does not conform to the characteristics of the geography knowledge system.The new generation of demonstration tools,such as Focusky(abbreviated as FS),breaks the limit and expands the possibility of multimedia in geography teaching.On the other hand,this paper briefly summarizes the application of mind map in geography teaching.It is an important tool for thinking visualization,and is widely praised by many experts and scholars.There are a lot of software for mind mapping,but few of them are based on mind map.In this paper,the characteristics of mind map and FS are compared,and the possibility of combining mind map with FS is demonstrated from their highly consistent characteristics.The author uses FS demonstration tools,combined with mind map organization method and modern education concept,carries on the teaching design and teaching practice.Taking "Chinese topography,as an example,this paper makes a probe into it.The teaching task was completed well.In the target detection,the achievement degree of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control group.So the author expanded the time scale of the experiment from one class to one semester,and the 2 experimental groups finally achieved good results.Through six months of practice teaching and interview,the effectiveness of this teaching method is verified.Finally,this paper summarizes the advantages of geography classroom teaching based on FS.This paper emphasizes the principles and matters needing attention in the classroom teaching,and puts forward constructive suggestions to the relevant departments.
