In order to adapt to the needs of the development of the society and times,Education Mathematics is devoted to making mathematics easier to learn,improving the interest and efficiency of mathematics learning,and its research has a relatively mature technical route.Follow the route of research,from the two aspects of content and thought,this paper puts forward the focus of knowledge with the quadratic equations in one unknown,starts from the layout of solutions of quadratic equations in the textbooks,with the help of wisdom of the history of mathematics,Area Method is used as a technical means to break through the technical difficulties to refactor the micro-courses.And then 237 students from two middle schools in Shao yang city,Hunan province are selected as the research objects.Follow the ideas of curriculum reconstruction to prepare teaching plans and carry out teaching practice.Combine with questionnaire survey and individual interview research methods to analyze the students’ condition of resolving quadratic equations and their attitudes to Area Method then get the following conclusions:(1)The students have different basis obtain corresponding improvement with the help of Area Method,and they are able to understand the quadratic equations and complete square by Area Method,so that they can solve the equations well and complete square skillfully.(2)It’s found that there is significant difference between the eighth grade in B school and the eighth grade in A school,and between the eighth grade in B school and the ninth grade in A school in terms of the number of correct solutions,there is no significant difference between the two classes of A school;In terms of the number of completing square,there is no significant difference between the eighth grade and the ninth grade in A school,and between the eighth grade in A school and eighth grade in B school,but the eighth grade in B school and the ninth grade in A school are the opposite.(3)Area Method still has a powerful attraction for ninth graders who have learned to solve quadratic equations.66.3 percent of the students think they may learn faster if they start to learn with Area Method,and expresses recognition and approval of Area Method.(4)Whether students have studied quadratic equations or not,Area Method can promote students,understanding of quadratic equations.40.4%of the students think Area Method is extremely helpful in solving quadratic equations,and about 53.5%of the students think Area Method is helpful for them.There is no significant difference in the evaluation of the effects of Area Method among the different basic students.(5)Through the teaching of Area Method,teachers and students of different foundation hold the attitude of the affirmation and support on Area Method,and they believe that Area Method mainly has the advantages of vivid image,novelty,convenient memory and promoting understanding.They are very excited about the teaching of algebra which gets the help of geometric at the same time.The teaching of Area Method can be popularized in practice.
