With the rapid development of China's economy,national strength continued to increase in recent years and the scale of basic education continued to expand.However,due to the imbalance of development,the large-scale movement of personnel as well as the differences in the family environment of students and many other factors,the phenomenon of high school students' academic differentiation gradually increased,which seriously affected the principle of education fairness and also laid a hidden danger for social harmony.That is why the transformation of the underachievers become the focus of educational research in today's countries.At present,there are many researches on the underachievers at home and abroad,many of which are still in the theoretical stage and lack practical operation which can be large-scale promotion.In addition,most of the research are mainly for urban areas and rural areas except the suburbs.However,with the advancement of urbanization in China,there are more and more schools in the suburbs.This is why the study of the underachievers in this area has become a top priority.Based on the analysis of students' comprehensive performance,this paper divides the underachievers into the "multi-disciplinary underachievers" and "underachievers in studying physics" by studying data,analysis,questionnaire,comparative experiment,case study and experience summary of Minhou NO.1 high school,a school in the urban-rural fringe.Combined with Ausubel motive,multiple intelligence,pedagogy,psychology,educational statistics and other theoretical analysis of the causes of the two kind of underachievers,this paper analyzes the causes of the two kinds of students with learning disabilities,and analyzes the causes of the students from the "social level","school level","teachers level"," student level "and" family level ",and puts forward the strategy of transforming physics students.This paper also summarizes the results achieved in the implementation of the transformation strategy of underachievers in studying physics in recent years on the students through the questionnaire,results analysis etc.It also introduces the results wich cases from the individual,the class and the grade,analyzes the existing problems and puts forward the reflection and prospect of the study of underachievers in studying physics.This paper hopes that by combining the achievements of "transformation of underachievers in studying physics" in recent years,we can put forward some effective means of transforming underachievers in studying physics in practice,in order to make some contributions in improving the quality of our high school physics education.
