Recently,scholars started to pay attention to the importance of human resource management from the perspective of competency and career planning increasingly.Competency model has become a popular research area of human resource management in China.As educational institutions,private colleges and universities have the responsibility of talents cultivation.The counselor team in private colleges are the executives and supervisors in students' comprehensive quality training.They also contribute to students' growth physically and intellectually.The competency and career planning of counselor team in private colleges are not only about their own growth but also concern about the students' future.Therefore,it is important to use the research methods of human resource management and psychology to deal with career planning and to establish competency-based career planning for counselor team in private colleges.In this study,research subjects are the counselor team in private colleges.We use behavioral event interview,statistical analysis,and other methods to research competency and career planning situation of the counselor team in private colleges.We then explore the factors influencing competency of counselor team in private colleges.To sum up,this study has carried out a special study on the competency and career planning of counselor team in private colleges,so as to further analyze the relationship between competency and career planning.
