The educational expectation is the psychological expectation of the educational level that an individual pursues or hopes to achieve based on his own ability and actual situation, which is of great significance for measuring individual education attainment. This paper analyzes the differences in expectations of education among different groups based on the baseline survey data of CEPS2013-2014,and explores the impact of family environment, school environment, and community environment on the educational expectations of middle school students, and analyzes the differences in the impact of these factors on migrant children and local urban children. The study found that:(1)In general, without considering the influence of other factors,non-agricultural households, women, western students, the seventh grades, local students, the public school students, only one children are more likely to expected to go to university than agricultural household registration students, men, middle and eastern students, the ninth grades, migrant students, private school students, and non-only children. However, after joining the family, school, and community variables, the ninth grades are more likely to go to college than the seventh grades.(2)In the case of controlling demographic variables and individual abilities, the family environment, school environment and community environment has a significant impact on the educational expectations of the middle school students:family cultural capital(parental education level, parental educational expectation, family cultural materials, family Cultural activities, participation in tutoring classes),school environment(school rankings, peer enthusiasm, teachers' praise),community environment(community type, neighborhood elite occupation, community environment)have a significant positive impact on the higher expectations of their children, family economic capital, parents'academic supervision and the nature of schools have no significant effect. In the influence of the three factors, the family economic situation and the academic supervision of the parents have a significant negative impact on the educational expectations of middle school students. This may be because the education plays an important role in promoting the socioeconomic status of individuals in the concept of Chinese people. Therefore, students from poor economic conditions hope to change their own destiny by getting higher level of education;and the academic supervision of parents is positively related to the family economic status.(3)In the influence of multiple factors, only individual cognition, achievement, family cultural materials, parental education expectation, school rankings, peer enthusiasm have a significant impact on the educational expectations of the migrant children;whether the only child or not, achievement, parents' education levels, parental expectations, family cultural activities, participation in tutoring classes, school rankings, peer enthusiasm, and community environment have a significant impact on the educational expectations of the local urban children. In addition, although these variables have different effects on the significance and the coefficients of the two samples, the SUR test results show that there is no significant difference in the impact of these variables on educational expectations of migrant children and local urban children.
