| Mencius is an important representative of the School of Thought and Mencius.He not only upholds the tradition of Confucianism and enlightenment,but also positively innovates ideas for education.Entering a new era,we have a significant role in promoting the inheritance,development,and innovation of Mencius’ ideology of outstanding traditional culture.This includes important implications for ideological and political education in college students and the cultivation of socialist core values of college students.An Analysis of the Formation of Mencius’ Educational Thought.Historical materialism analysis methods are used.On the one hand,it analyzes the social background and family background of the formation of Mencius’ enlightenment thoughts.On the other hand,it analyzes the theoretical origin and theoretical foundation of Mencius’ enlightenment thoughts.Mencius’ ideology of enlightenment is mainly reflected in four aspects: individual education,family education,school education,and social education.Firstly,in terms of individual education,Mencius believes that individual education includes the expansion of the four ends and the maintenance of desire.The four ends and the heart are waiting for people to expand and fill,to support their own hearts,and to preserve the goodness of life.On this basis,Mencius also demands that self-cultivation must be self-improvement,so that good-end fulfillment becomes the basic observance of individual moral life.The raising of the mind is to deepen the degree of self-cultivation,and the less desire is a clearer requirement for the self-education ability,and constantly enhances one’s moral state.Secondly,in terms of family education,Mencius recommends preaching,teaching,and edifying the environment to strengthen the enlightenment effect.Family education covers two aspects.On the one hand,probation: value orientation education.Parents use emotion as a link to influence their children with words,deeds and teachings,and tolead the transmission and enlightenment of their children’s values.On the other hand,the environment: the subject nurture means.Family education mainly relies on the influence of the environment,and exerts a positive influence on the temperament,magnanimity,and constitution of a high-quality environment;and exerts the motivational effect of bad environment on mind and ability.Once again,in terms of school education,Mencius advocates an introductory education model and a self-reflective internal approach.Mencius associates the cultivators with the educators,citing the fact that the educators do not require the educators to follow the good teaching and to teach students in accordance with their aptitude.This inspires the initiative of educating educators and the initiative of educators to learn.The self-reflection of the internal pursuit is both a request for the educators and a hope for the educators.Mencius demanded that teachers should seek self-denial and make people apt to enlighten the teachers;the teachers were self-reflective and actively pursued the good.Finally,in terms of social education,Mencius advocates benevolent government,emphasizing that social education is mainly directed at the monarch,because the monarch has a demonstration effect on the people.On the one hand,the economic measures of benevolence and the production of goods by the people and the production of the people are the material guarantees of Mencius’ social ideology.On the other hand,"rich and then teach."
