Flow experience is a positive internal experience produced in physical exercises.Although it has been proved by many studies that the experience is easy to get in popular sports and competitive sports,importance is not yet attached to that produced in volleyball teaching by all researchers.The past studies on the relationship between volleyball activities and athletic performance,which show an ignorance of the potential effect that PE lessons at school has made,are mainly based on competitive sports.The main purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the fluency experience and the sports performance of the students in the college volleyball class,and analyze the factors affecting the performance in the study of the college volleyball class so as to understand the inner relationship between the fluent experience and the sports performance,aiming to not only better promote the physical and mental health of college students,but provide theoretical basis for the volleyball learners to make good sports performance.By means of literature,expert interview,questionnaire and mathematical statistics,the factors that affect college students' flow experience and sports performance in volleyball courses are analyzed by factor analysis,T-test,variance analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis etc.to explore the characteristics of and the differences in those of different grades,majors and genders.The questionnaire selects the flow state scale made by Jackson and March and the performance assessment in sports scale.After an analysis of the characteristics of the project in this study,a revised scale is drawn with its reliability and validity verified through the pre-test of a small sample.Finally,the questionnaire is statistically analyzed and the results are as follows:1.The average value of flow experience is about 3.31,a level that indicates the cognitive degree of the flow experience of the college students in volleyball classes in Jilin Province is high;that of sports performance is around 2.64,a level that shows their cognitive degree of sports performance is also high.2.There is a significant positive correlation between the flow experience and athletic performances.The better the state is,the better the performances will be.Meanwhile,the theory of flow experience can be used as a basis for sports performance.3.There are striking differences in the characteristics of the flow experience and athletic performances between the students in different grades.Among the class of 2014,2015,2016 and 2017,the level of flow experience and sports performances of 2014 class in volleyball courses is apparently higher than any other.To make further investigation,remarkable differences are also found in the levels of flow experience and athletic performances between genders.The levels of boys are generally higher than those of girls.
